My Story
Who I am? | Meet Renee Bell, RN Esthetician
My name is Renee Bell, RN Esthetician, and I bring 30 years of nursing experience into my work in esthetics and skin wellness. I began my journey with nursing education at Florida A&M University (FAMU), followed by years of clinical experience and a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from Nova Southeastern University, which I earned in May 2015.
My nursing career, including my background in labor and delivery, taught me the importance of patient education, attention to detail, individualized care, and helping people feel comfortable during personal and sometimes vulnerable experiences. Those lessons continue to shape the way I approach every client interaction.
My passion for beauty and wellness led me to expand my professional training into esthetics. As a licensed Registered Nurse and trained Esthetician, I combine my clinical perspective with specialized esthetics education to provide a thoughtful, personalized approach to skincare and hair removal. I am also a Certified Sugarist, Procell Certified, and OrganoPeel certified.

Yes, it can matter, especially when a provider's services involve skin conditions, contraindications, or treatments that require careful screening.
Nursing education includes clinical assessment, anatomy and physiology, infection prevention, patient education, and recognition of potential complications. That background can be valuable in an esthetic setting.
However, an RN license does not automatically make someone a dermatologist, nor does it replace specialized esthetics training. The value is in how the provider applies their education within their authorized scope of practice.
Not automatically. Every provider should be evaluated on their actual training, experience, technique, professionalism, and results.
My nursing background is an additional qualification, not a claim that non-nurse estheticians are less capable. I bring nursing knowledge to my esthetics practice alongside my esthetics education and specialized certifications in chemical peels, sugaring hair removal and advanced aging skin.

No. The term medical-grade is used inconsistently in the beauty industry. An RN credential does not automatically change the classification of a product, device, or procedure.
What matters is the specific service, the provider's training, the equipment and products used, and whether the procedure is legally within the provider's scope of practice.
